What is the Parallel period for the BeachesMLS platform upgrade?

The Parallel period gives agents time to explore and prepare for the upcoming BeachesMLS platform upgrade. The new system unifies Matrix and Flexmls data fields while introducing modern enhancements to streamline listing entry and management.

  • Prefix Update: Listing prefixes change from R/RX- and F/FX- to B-

What are the key changes in the new system?

  • The add/edit entry point will be centralized in the new system.
  • The system is built on Flexmls, but Matrix users retain searches, auto-emails, reports, and more.
  • Flexmls users must open the new system in a separate browser. You cannot run two Flexmls sessions in the same browser.
  • During the Parallel period, review and adjust saved searches where field names or parameters have changed.

You will have a refreshed Matrix as well. Both systems are being updated.

Do we have to switch to the new system right now?

No. The preview (Parallel) period is optional and intended for early familiarization and saved-search checks before go-live.

I accessed the new system and cannot get back to the other one.

If you are using Flexmls, log out and use a different browser. Two Flexmls instances cannot run in the same browser.

Why make this change?

To ensure up-to-date technology and shared fields across both platforms.

Will there be training?

Yes. Multiple classes will be available closer to the go-live date.

What happens to my existing listings when we switch?

Existing listings will move to the new system with their current numbers and fields. Some edits may be needed to align with updated field requirements.

Do I need to review my contacts and saved searches?

Yes. Both Matrix and Flexmls users should log into the new system to review contacts and saved searches. Field names and values have been updated, so some saved searches may need adjustments to remain accurate after launch.
